"Title" is a track originating from Game:Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) composed by Contributor:Masato Nakamura. It plays on the game's title screen. == In Sonic the Hedgehog == "Title" is the first song that plays in Sonic the Hedgehog, on the title screen following the Sega logo and Sega chant. A slightly longer version, titled "All Clear", serves as a reprise of "Title", playing at the end of the game before the staff credits. It is track 8A in the sound test of Sonic the Hedgehog. == Composition == "Title" is a short, 4 measure song that begins with a 2 beat anacrusis, or pickup. Nakamura's original demo for the song was featured in the 2011 official soundtrack of the game. It was the 2nd piece composed for Sonic the Hedgehog, after "Green Hill Zone." clear == Score == <abc> X:1 T:Title M:4/4 L:1/4 Q: 1/4=120 K:D %%stretchlast V: c0 clef=treble name="C0 (melody)" V: c1 clef=bass name="C1 (bass)" V: c2 clef=treble name="C2" V: c3 clef=treble name="C3" V: c4 clef=treble name="C4 (melody)" V: dac clef=perc name="DAC" V: psg3 clef=perc name="PSG 3" [V: c0] z2 | z1/2 c c1/2 d3/4B1/4-B | c1/2c1/2c1/2A1/2 G3/4B1/4-B | A1/2c1/2a1/2e1/2 z1/4 ^g3/4a1/2 z1/2 | z2 |] [V: c1] z2 | A,,1/2A,,1/2E,,1/2E,,1/2G,,3/4 F,,1/2G,,1/4F,,1/2 | A,,1/2A,,1/2E,,1/2E,,1/2d,,3/4 c,,1/2d,,1/4c,,1/2 | z1/2 A,,,1/2 z1/2 A,,,1/2 z1/4 ^G,,3/4A,,1/2 A,,,1/2|-A,,,2 |] [V: c2] z2 | e1/2e1/2c1/2c1/2d3/4 d1/4-d | e1/2e1/2c1/2c1/2g3/4 g1/4-g | e e z1/4 ^d3/4e1/2 [K:D bass] A,,,1/2|-A,,,2 |] [V: c3] z2 | c1/2c1/2A1/2A1/2B3/4 B1/4-B | c1/2c1/2A1/2A1/2d3/4 d1/4-d | c c z1/4 =c3/4^c1/2 [K:D bass] A,,,1/2|-A,,,2 |] [V: c4] z2 | z1/2 c c1/2 d3/4B1/4-B | c1/2c1/2c1/2A1/2 G3/4B1/4-B | A1/2c1/2a1/2e1/2 z1/4 ^g3/4a1/2 z1/2 | z2 |] [V: dac] z2 | z4 | z4 | z4 | z2 |] [V: psg3] z2 | z4 | z4 | z4 | z2 |] </abc>  == Listen == <tabber class="sfm-tabber-embeds"> |-|fab fa-apple Apple Music=  |-|fab fa-amazon Amazon Music=  |-|fab fa-deezer Deezer=  |-|fab fa-iheart iHeart=  |-|fab fa-pandora Pandora=  |-|fab fa-qobuz Qobuz=  |-|fab fa-spotify Spotify=  |-|fab fa-tidal Tidal=  |-|fab fa-youtube YouTube Music=  </tabber> == Legacy == An arrangement of "Title" was used as the title screen track of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Another shorter version plays at the start of the "Sonic Says" segment at the end of each episode. The title screen of Sonic Generations features an extended arrangement of "Title" that includes the extra bars from "All Clear." == Appearances == Track Appearance List == Derivatives == Track Derivative List == Alternate titles == {| class="wikitable sortable wikitable--fluid" !Title |- |"Title" |- |"STH1 Title ~ Mega Drive Version ~" |- |"STH1 Title 〜 Mega Drive version 〜" |- |"Sth1 Title (Mega Drive Version)" |- |"Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" |- |"STH1 Title 〜 Mega Drive version 〜 – Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" |- |} == External links == * "STH1 Title ~ Mega Drive Version ~" on MusicBrainz * Song: Sonic the Hedgehog "Title Screen" on OC ReMix * "STH1 Title 〜 Mega Drive version 〜" – ソニック・ザ・ヘッジホッグ 1＆2 サウンドトラック (Spotify) * "Sth1 Title (Mega Drive Version)" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Apple Music) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Tidal) * "STH1 Title 〜 Mega Drive version 〜 – Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (YouTube Music) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Amazon Music) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Qobuz) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Deezer) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (iHeart) * "Sth1 Title Mega Drive Version" – Sonic The Hedgehog 1&2 Soundtrack (Pandora) == References == <references></references>
